Welcome to

Traditional Church Literature

I am currently updating some of the more liberal church literature of the 19th century.

I began this site in order to make available some of the traditional services and readings

in a modern style and I will be adding chapters in the hope that you will find them useful.

As you will note, the material is copyrighted. However, I would be happy for you to use

the services and lessons from this site for your own church or home study. Please refer

to the Archives pages for past chapters.

Mark 12

29And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is,

Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:

“And what does the Lord require of you, O man, but to do justice,

love kindness, and walk humbly with God.” Micah 6:8

Believe in God as Jesus believed in him, not merely as a far-off inscrutable,

unknown force, not only as the mysterious basis of all being, but as the life

within your life, the love within your heart. He is the faithful creator, who takes

good care of all that he has made. He will not allow a single atom of the material

universe to perish. He will not allow a particle of force to disappear. He conserves

force and matter; how much more will he conserve the souls which he has made

capable of loving him and being loved by him? Every soul, no matter how imperfect,

sinful and poor, belongs to him, and he will take care of all.
